About the Artist: Laura Wilson is an internationally acclaimed documentary photographer who has lived in Dallas since 1966 and is the mother of actors Andrew, Owen, and Luke Wilson. Her work spans more than four decades, focusing on ranchers, cowboys, and creative personalities throughout the American West and Texas. The Meadows Museum exhibit "Roaming Mexico" features nearly 90 photographs taken over the last forty years during Wilson’s travels through Mexico, capturing the diversity, grit, and humanity from borderlands to Oaxaca and San Miguel de Allende. A docent will guide the tour, with images that present a nuanced, personal view of Mexico’s festivals, farms, and everyday life. Shoppers can receive food by visiting the in-house Community Market. Help make a direct impact on these shoppers by signing up to volunteer at a Saturday Market day.
