The Rotary Club of Park Cities has some big plans for great service projects this fall. Starting on September 28, RCPC will be hosting and volunteering at the annual Foot Care Clinic for the Homeless. Partnering with Austin Street Center, volunteer nursing students will wash and care for the feet of the homeless, and RCPC volunteers will assist them and then provide each recipient with socks and shoes.
. A week later on October 5, RCPC will be hosting the latest Dentistry With a Heart at RCPC’s collaborative partner, Agape Clinic. Organized by Dr. Michael Rainwater and staffed by volunteer dentists, hygienists and dental interns, every year this event provides thousands of dollars’ worth of free dental services to the homeless. Later in October, RCPC will be volunteering at one of their twice-a-year service events at the North Texas Food Bank. All of this will take place before the service projects around Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is shaping up to be a very good year!
