Sergeant Edwards has worked full-time for the City of University Park since 2007 and served in Law Enforcement for over 30 years. He also worked previously as a police officer for the Veterans Association, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and as a Federal Air Marshal with the Department of Homeland Security. In 1989 Sergeant Edwards graduated from Grambling State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Sergeant Edwards has served as a Patrol Officer and D.A.R.E. Officer while working at University Park.
He holds a Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, is certified as a law enforcement instructor, is certified as a D.A.R.E. officer, is certified as a mental health peace officer, and is a certified SRO Officer.
