The Dallas Zoo features a wide variety of animals, with major sections dedicated to the "Wilds of Africa" and Zoo North. Key species include African elephants, lions, Nile hippos, giraffes, gorillas, Sumatran tigers, chimpanzees, and penguins. The zoo also features smaller animals like otters, lemurs, and various birds in, interactive areas.
African Animals (Wilds of Africa/Giants of the Savannah): African elephants, giraffes (feeding available), Nile hippos, lions, cheetahs, zebras, African painted dogs, ostriches, kudu, okapi, chimpanzees, and gorillas.
Zoo North & Other Areas: Sumatran tigers, Asian small-clawed otters, black and white ruffed lemurs, and a vast
reptile/bird population
