It is the time of the year to recognize members of the club with special awards named after some of our club legends. While it is nice to present eight awards, it is not mandatory.. Typically the award is not given to the same individual twice. These awards are for club members other than current officers and members of the selection committee. Foot Care Clinic for the Homeless at Austin Street Center

Assisted by volunteer nursing students and other volunteer medical professionals, about 130 homeless people had their feet washed, cared for and given basic foot health checks. If needed, they were referred for medical treatment asap. After having their feet washed, each person received a new pair of shoes and socks and “care packages” with small sizes of over-the-counter Tylenol, allergy medicine, travel-size toiletries, bars of soap, etc.
•Ongoing. RCPC's Meals on Wheels Committee needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious meals to those who cannot obtain or prepare their own food. The routes are in the Casa Linda area and take about an hour to run. Meals are delivered Monday through Thursday around midday. Ask Jim Weichel for details and the routes and dates available.
•The Farmers Branch Rotary Club has disbanded. Invite former members to join RCPC!
•Volunteers are needed every week to sell raffle tickets. There are dates available.
This is a great way to meet and engage with members before the Friday meetings.
Tickets are $1 or 7 for $5 and as a reminder the proceeds generated goes to the RCPC Foundation.

Donate blood and save lives! A critical blood shortage is affecting North Texas in early April 2026, with Carter BloodCare reporting that roughly 25% of donors are unavailable during the spring break season. This, following a severe winter storm in early 2026, has created urgent needs for all types, particularly Type O.
District 5810 has a competition to see which club can donate the most -- So donate!! Bring friends, neighbors and family members!

The Rotary Club of Park Cities' Communities Fund was originally sponsored in the 1960’s by the Rotary Club of Park Cities (“RCPC”) for the purpose of providing an enduring legal entity through which members and friends of the Rotary Club of Park Cities might make donations for the good of mankind and the Dallas community. The fund continues to this day to consider internal and external grant requests submitted on the RCPC Foundation online grant portal found on the club website.
The following grant requests were approved at our November 2022 meeting:
• $1,000 grant for scholarships for Hillcrest High School for scholarship to honor RCPC long term member C.C. Collie
• $5,413.44 grant for Equest
• $6,000 grant for the Agape Clinic
The Executive Team denied the following grant request:
• Addison Midday grant request for Genesis Women's Shelter
The fund balance as of November 30, 2022, was $1,710.729.17. The Communities Foundation of Texas manages the RCPC Foundation Fund. The amount available each year for grants is derived from an average over 16 quarters (4 years), then, 4.5% of that amount is the amount available for distribution the following year.
Our Sgt. at Arms Kathy Wall for 2022-2023, reported that the RCPC Foundation Fund donations thru 11-30-2022 totals $9,116.00 from 37 donors!
